A Warm Welcome at Esa Restaurant
Jakarta's culinary scene has been enriched by a famous contemporary dining destination, Esa Restaurant, in the SCBD Park Lot 7A3. The name "ESA," meaning "one" or "singular" in Sanskrit, symbolises the inaugural effort of a talented team consisting of Chef Aditya Muskita, Kevindra Soemantri, and Jessica Eveline.
Esa prides itself on meticulous attention to every aspect of the dining experience, from interior design to tableware details. Collaborating with prestigious partners, they aim to create an unmatched culinary journey for every guest. Bandung-based Nusae designed its banana leaf logo to reflect unity, a core theme in many Asian and Indonesian dining traditions.
The restaurant's ambience, crafted with the help of Surabaya's KantorGG and lighting consultants Erreluce, offers a serene yet elegant dining atmosphere. Esa emphasises using fresh ingredients and curated kitchen tools, partnering with renowned Indonesian kitchenware brands Nayati and Atsiri to enhance the sensory dining experience with a warm, earthy aroma.
Chef Aditya introduces a "New Jakarta Cuisine," blending his diverse culinary background from prestigious establishments like Mozaic, Room 4 Dessert in Ubud, Daniel Boulud Bistro in Singapore, and Relae in Copenhagen. Signature dishes like "Ikura Tart," featuring homemade burrata with salmon roe and crispy plantains, and the seasonal "Season Heritage" menu showcasing a fusion of Chinese, Sundanese, and French influences exemplify his innovative approach.
Diners can enjoy a unique sharing concept where dishes are served sequentially, from starters to mains, complemented by fermented juices that pair perfectly with the menu. "There is something beautiful about the culture of sharing food in Asian culinary traditions. We wanted to marry this with the course menu concept of high-end restaurants, offering a refreshing take on Jakarta," says Chef Aditya.
Esa is open from Monday to Saturday, from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM, offering a refined and contemporary dining experience that celebrates togetherness and culinary artistry.
