Balancing Faith, Family, and Life’s Purpose

"I believe that time is limited, so I invest my time well," was the first thing Annisa Sofyan Kuntadi said to RAYA Asia. Her words perfectly resonate with her profile, a can-do mother of three and the driving force behind several impactful Muslim-based platforms aimed at supporting Indonesian Muslim women and children.

Annisa’s journey in this field began with Hanami Indonesia in 2018, a community that has grown to over 10.5k followers on Instagram, followed by the development of the Indonesia Muslim Women community. These platforms are Annisa’s way to continuously support Muslim women, helping them grow by embracing their innate goodness, or fitrah. As her motherhood journey developed, Annisa expanded her focus by growing platforms for children and families, one of them being BATAS, an integrated ecosystem to experience the benefit of learning Al-Quran through Technology, Art, Science, and Sport that employs a predominantly female workforce.

Given her extensive list of roles, it’s safe to assume that Annisa is an active & productive woman. From a mother, and wife, to a leader, Annisa maintains a balanced lifestyle without fixating on a single title. However, out of her many facades, she firmly believes that her role as the servant of God should always come first. "From there, we can balance all the roles we have by striving to be the best version of ourselves in each one," she stated as she told RAYA Asia how she’s been able to pursue her life purpose while remaining grounded in faith.

Muslim women often face challenges in pursuing their life purpose, but Annisa's journey is proof that business aspirations and faith can coexist harmoniously. "Embrace your fitrah, your innate goodness, and make it your values and capital to keep moving forward," Annisa says.

For aspiring entrepreneurs and leaders, Annisa's advice is to begin with intention. "Always straighten your intentions in your growth journey," she suggests, adding that one should adopt a gardener's mindset, where one diligently sows seeds, nurtures them, and accompanies their growth, recognizing that the ultimate results rest with God. "Focus on the process because the outcome is not solely up to us; it is God who grants the results," she concludes.
