ETIHAD Expands Horizons to Bali

On June 25, 2024, Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, celebrated the launch of its new route to Bali, Indonesia. The inaugural flight, EY476, marked the beginning of regular services between Abu Dhabi and the enchanting island of Bali. Upon arrival in Denpasar, Etihad's captains proudly waved the UAE and Indonesian flags from the cockpit, commemorating the event with a traditional water cannon salute.

The new service, operating four times a week, is provided by a cutting-edge Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. This aircraft features Etihad’s acclaimed Business Studios and Economy Smart seats, providing passengers with an enhanced flying experience. With 28 seats in Business and 262 in Economy, guests can enjoy Etihad’s E-Box entertainment system, in-seat power, and in-flight Wi-Fi connectivity, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable journey.

Arik De, Etihad’s Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer, expressed enthusiasm about the new route, noting, “We are thrilled to add Bali to the growing list of destinations we serve directly from Abu Dhabi. This addition marks our second destination in Indonesia, following Jakarta. We eagerly anticipate connecting our guests from the Middle East, Europe, and beyond with this stunning tropical island.”

Bali offers a diverse range of attractions, from its beautiful beaches and vibrant social scene to its serene cultural and wellness retreats. Visitors can enjoy surfing on pristine shores or explore the lush rice terraces and verdant landscapes of Ubud, the island’s cultural heart. Etihad’s Abu Dhabi Stopover programme adds extra appeal, allowing travellers to enjoy a complimentary hotel stay in Abu Dhabi, where they can explore the city’s beaches, desert landscapes, and cultural highlights.

Earlier this year, Etihad also expanded its network with new flights to Al Qassim in Saudi Arabia, Jaipur in India, and summer seasonal destinations including Antalya, Málaga, Mykonos, Nice, and Santorini.
