Elegantly Modest

Very few local industries have experienced massive growth seen in the fashion section. In recent years, Indonesian men and women have been spoiled with a surge of high-quality local brand options to cater to every style. Among the top favorites is ARTKEA, a long-standing brand that has become a go-to for both Muslim and non-muslim women in Indonesia.
Founded in 1991 by Tini Sardadi, ARTKEA’s designs are renowned for their craftsmanship, with blends of delicate lace and intricate patterns becoming its signature style. Today, Atya Sardadi leads the brand as its Designer and Chief Marketing Officer. Carrying on the legacy, Atya and her three siblings have expanded ARTKEA into one of Indonesia’s leading local fashion brands with four different fashion lines under the brand’s name.
“It is both a privilege and challenge at the same time. All of us have different styles, opinions, and ways of working. But at the end of the day, our diversity and differences are actually our strength,” Atya shared in an interview with RAYA Asia, offering a rare glimpse into the family dynamics behind the brand. While many family businesses have failed to sustain themselves due to differences, the Sardadi family thrives on their dissimilarity. For Atya, this richness gives them the ability to keep innovating and ultimately bring ARTKEA to the next level.
As reflected on the quality of each of its pieces, ARTKEA commits to constantly producing exceptional craftsmanship. Each product is crafted with meticulous attention to detail, allowing women to feel confident, knowing that they are wearing something made with care and passion. “When women wear ARTKEA products, it means they know their value,” she says. Through ARTKEA’s designs, Atya hopes to empower women to embrace their faith and know their worth while still being fashionable, intelligent, and in tune with modern trends.
Atya Sardadi’s vision for ARTKEA is about creating fashion that empowers, uplifts, and celebrates the strength and individuality of women everywhere. Through her work, Atya continues to push the boundaries of modest fashion in Indonesia and beyond.
