Prambanan Jazz Festival 2024, Celebrates a decade of music and harmony

As the 2024 Prambanan Jazz Festival concluded, music echoed throughout the ancient grounds of Prambanan Temple in Central Java. This year marked a special milestone: a decade of celebrating jazz amidst the awe-inspiring backdrop of Indonesia's rich cultural heritage. Titled "Satu Dekade Bersama" (A Decade Together), the festival drew over 49,000 music lovers for a weekend filled with vibrant melodies and cherished memories.

The three-day extravaganza kicked off on a high note, with the Symphony 26 Choir setting the stage for a musical weekend. A diverse line-up of artists followed, from the captivating fusion of Batavia Collective and Kamga to the soulful melodies of Jikustik with Fanny Soegi. Mocca and Olski brought an energetic touch, while the afternoon continued with mesmerising performances from Dere, JKT48, and Nadin Amizah. RAN kept the energy high, and Yura Yunita closed the first night with her captivating vocals. The audience's enthusiasm remained undeterred by occasional rain, particularly during JKT48's electrifying performance.

On Saturday, Nonaria and Sal Priadi graced the stage. El Corona Gambus filled the air with vibrant Malay rhythms, while Panbers provided a nostalgic journey through time. The evening unfolded with stunning collaborations: Indra Lesmana and Eva Celia mesmerised the audience, while Fatur 'Java Jive' and Kla Project brought back beloved classics.

The grand finale was a star-studded affair. Ardhito Pramono, Trisum, Tantowi Yahya with Crossroad, KIM, Kahitna, Tulus, Gigi, and DEWA 19 feat. Virzha each delivered captivating performances, keeping the audience dancing under the stars.

The 2024 Prambanan Jazz Festival successfully concluded a decade of musical excellence. With a diverse line-up and a stunning setting, the festival solidified its position as a cherished cultural event, leaving music lovers eager for many more years of celebrating jazz at the foot of Prambanan Temple.
